I saw this ceramic dog with his head cocked listening to RCA, at an antique shop. I love it!! He was about 2.5 ft tall and 200 dollars. I went back, and he was gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

| That is too bad. I think he would have made a great pet. He is also on the front of the RCA SFT100W CED player. |

Hhahahah Scott I think it's time you just buy something when you see it since going back to get it never works for you! _________________ I dont own

lol Ryan, I couldn't agree with you more! I truly would of brought him home if he had of been 100 bucks, instead of 200. Then the second time I saw him, they had marked him down to 175 bucks, (that should of been a clue) The reason i think my wife may have gone back and picked him up, could of had something to do with the fact that I stayed around the booth, taking pictures of him. I mean, who else, in their right mind, would of even thought of paying such a ridiculous price for a giant "Kipper"??? _________________ 1000 titles

There might be a bit of cross-collecting going on here as well. One of the strangest music video moments of the 80s (IMHO) was Cyndi Lauper cuddling her own ceramic Nipper in the Time After Time video. It's hard to tell from the little picture, but you might have stumbled upon the same - or a very similar - "model".
And you'd best believe I would have jumped on that puppy immediately and worried about the money some other time (after time)!

It's not the same statue model, as the one in the antique shop appears to be mounted on a base, while Cyndi's is free standing. Here's a shot from her "The Goonies 'R' Good Enough" video:
I wonder what happened to Cyndi's Nipper, what with Cyndi and Captain Lou casually handling him by one leg:

| I was also thinking that the thrift shop model's got quite the neck on him... Cyndi's looks a bit more casual. |

#1 The one I saw was on a base,
#2 The way Cindy was handling hers, it was much lighter, my kipper was heavy. _________________ 1000 titles
