| I am doing some research on some beta versions of RCA ced disks. I am coming up with nothing. Can someone give me a place to start? Can these be used in a player? They are metal and thick. Is there any value? Thanks. |

Never heard of prototype discs that were all metal and thick. I only am aware of metalized prototypes. Look here for more info:

| We have 3 and they are directly from RCA in a box. One has been cut into with a ban saw and is solid and it appears to be metal. The top is gold colored and the bottom is a metal color. I haven't found in my research anything similar. |

Yes, I do plan on selling that is why I am doing the research.
I have discovered they are the original nickel substrates. |

What does the box have on it? Does it show postage, date stamp return address, etc? |

I have one silver prototype disc dated 1977 and don't know what's on it, I tried to play it on a regular CED player but it wouldn't do anything. A couple years ago someone on Ebay sold a prototype player which was top-loading and some discs, I bid all I could on it but someone else beat me. _________________ Videodisc and stereo sound- there's no better value around! |
