Click em'

Went out to get some thai food with some friends last night, got a lil boozy on some chang's beer. Yes that is the name of it haha. Came home kinda late and was bored and finally decided to try the front panel kit from cedatum. I have to say that with the pictures and the directions from cedatum it was pretty easy to do! Although I do recommend not being boozy hahah I switched two wires on accident reject and pause hahah that was odd to see in action! Just gotta be able to work in small places and have decent soldering abilities! Also made an otherwise useless SJT-400 come back to life and be fully functional! Just wanted to show you guys the finished product and let it be known that cedatum does this repair or sells a kit for it! Well worth the money !

What do you get with the front panel kit and what's it cost? Does it keep the front panel original or does it somehow upgrade it?

Switches, wires, instructions and a few diagrams. Front panel looks exactly the same except these switches will last way longer than the crap membrane on all j/k players! I think its $24.

The front panel on the RCA J/K player has a film type switch circuit under the buttons. Not unlike the contacts under the buttons of a hand held calculator. If the film goes high resistance or 'sticks' ON, the player may not work or you loose control of features.
CEDatum offers a repair service for the front panel or you can buy a kit from us to repair the panel yourself.
We do not replace the film switch but install mechanical tactile switches. These are very reliable and have a long life.
If you want us to repair a front panel of your player, we do not need to receive the complete player, just the front panel removed from the player. The front panel repair is $28.00. The repair kit with full instructions is $18.00 . Soldering is needed to install the tactile sws.

Daxi Don at CEDatum.

I cant thank you guys enough for the first fix you guys did! Also for the kits after! Thanks for coming in and clarifying the prices too. As I said before it's worth it! Whatever they choose, kit or repair!
