Hi All,
I bought an RCA SelectaVision player (I am not sure the exact model number) many years ago with a large collection of movies and it has always worked great for me. It has been disconnected for a couple of years now and I wanted to hook it up again. Well I hooked it up and everything works great but… the sound is really low. I need my TV at max volume to hear the actors talk, and that makes my TV speakers buzz so it is still hard to hear. It sounds like the audio is not being amped. Do the players have an internal amp? Or are new TVs just not amped enough for them? Or is it my needle going bad? I am really not sure where to start with trying to fix it and any help or suggestions you guys might have would be appreciated. Thanks again for the help.

OK, I looked it over and I did find a model number on the back. It is SGT075. That thing about the audio gain sounds to be exactly my problem. Now I just have to find out if there is an adjustment like that for my model. Thanks again for the info.

A good question. I've seen the audio gain adjust on the SJT/SKT models, but don't know about that on the SGT series.
Does anyone know how to set audio gain or audio level on SGT models? |
