I have a growing collection of players, I never thought it would be this much fun! Many of you have seen how I have my players set up, I have 3 of them hooked to 2 seperate 15" monitors. I have 3 players playing one Star Trek movie, and 2 Star Wars movies. (Thanks to the Chemist, I can switch between 2 players!) I never dreamed it would be this much fun!!!! My wife thinks I'm nuts, but I just always smile and say, "You Wouldn't Understand" My plan is to have 4 monitors, with all my different players.

Well...long story short..I had moved to Dallas with this BITCH ex friend of mine. She had become a real drug addict (heroin actually) and I walked in the living room to find her literally slamming the lever back and forth and beating on the machine.

My first and favorite CED player never worked after that day. Needless to say I packed my shit in the middle of the night and left that bitches house to come back to Louisiana for good.

Sorry...it's just a bit of a sore subject. Mad

Sure, I do think that it is repairable. I've just been fairly broke and since I still have another working player, I've been focusing on other things.

One day I will send it off to be looked at. I bought my player that works from Darrell the CED Pro. I figured I would get in touch w/ him when I go to get it fixed. Either that or speak w/ John Stevens about it. I have bought quite a few discs from John Stevens and he's a really cool guy too.

I have 5 CED players in various states:

2-Sears 934.54780150's in working condition

1 SJT200 in working condition

1-SJT200 with a broken part. I tried to glue it in place but the glue was not strong enough.

What's the broken part? I have an SJT 200 that is a donor (parts machine) You can have the part If I still have it on the machine.

pretty sure, I think it is called the spring caddy lockout? I offered the part too and completely forgot until now! Also pretty sure it's on all j/k players as it holds the wire/spring for the door! If you can get one for him rick it'd probably be better since you have sooo many players!!

blindfury is right. It is the part that keeps the door open. I would appreciate the part as the player seems to work (i.e. it spins up and the stylus moves to play the disc) at least until the glue job failed.

The only other thing is how to replace the part. Do I have to sacrifice a chicken and dance naked around a campfire at midnite to get the old part out? (lol).

It wasn't easy to get that off and I don't imagine it will be easy to get back on. If you need help I can show you what I did and I can take pics/vid of it.

Make sure you remember how you took yours off so you can put new one back on!

You have to take the attitude that the player is not working now so what further harm can I do?
