I think I could get this one going, but I am not willing to put more money in it. I have been using it as a table for CED disk repair. BTW I am going to post my first ever youtube video today displaying some results.

I'm not releasing my methods just yet, still got some tweaking to do, and they aren't perfect. I have wasted time and ruined discs, they probably had no hope though.

Oh man, last post in here was 3 years ago. Well here goes. I am selling 1700 discs and 4 players. There are almost no duplicate titles so this is a great instant collection. There are also 15-20 RCA Property Stamp discs included. The players are a beautifully working SJT400 with remote. A like new in box SGT200 that also works fantastic. And finally 2 SFT100 players, the flagship of CED. The SFT players need some work to be fully operational. Pickup for this collection is in Mankato, MN. Please email me me if you are interested and I can send some pictures your way. Thanks.

Is anyone here selling any MCA DiscoVision titles?

I know this is a CED forum, but I've exhausted the Laserdisc groups and they aren't too hot on DiscoVision anyway.

Thanks!

I would do broader searches to find DiscoVision titles...they can be such a fiasco though that it's honestly better to find the title in a rerelease later or another format. It sometimes amazes me that LD survived at all, but for a hard fought battle to save it until DVD was ready and that was 15 years later. Pioneer struggled then as now and maybe LD and CD were their saving graces. In the end Pioneer has fallen to the mergers and acquisitions necessary to keep the electronics industry alive. it's still there but like Kenwood and JVC it's not at all the same.

An SJT-400 with correct remote is currently listed on eBay with a starting bid of $50 http://www.ebay.com/itm/252609388727

It requires service: Does not power off and discs do not eject.

The same seller lists another of the same model at the same opening price, also possibly broken.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-RCA-SELECTAVISION-CED-VIDEODISC-PLAYER-MODEL-SJT-400-IN-BOX-w-REMOTE/252609375921

The differences in the ads are that the first shows a copy of Thunderball and the other Casablanca.

The seller is located in New York State.

Hello folks,

I have a RCA SKT090 and SGT101 for sale. They work but I'm not sure how to determine their condition so I will say they are good for their age. Price is $75.00 each, plus actual shipping.

I have the following movies, the 2 following the title is the number of disks, anything in () is a note. These disks have been stored indoors and are in good to very good condition. Price is $5.00 for single disk and $8.00 for 2 disks pair plus actual shipping.

No shipping charge if you pick up in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Anybody looking to sell any dimensia gear? I'm looking to collect the complete setup but I'm in no hurry to do so. I'm not even sure which style I want. I'd like it to work with my RCA front projection TV but I also like the styling of the silver and black first gen, not to mention the compatibility with the RCA CED player.

Ontario in CANADA, California or Oregon?

Or is there one in New York State? The other Ontarios are counties or bodies of water, seven place names in North America.

That makes it a little spendy unless you have a pickup address in the US like some Canadians do.

CEDs are mucho heavy.

Or you are near the border and can meet somebody here.

Not that many of us that close to Ontario province, New York, Michigan, Pennsylvania... http://geology.com/canada/ontario-map.gif

Tried to place the image in this post, didn't work (X box).

They get to the UK but USPS doesn't have airmail anymore...

Try using ebay.ca to view listings so you might get better shipping figures from their calculator. Look for New York and Pennsylvania listings, there are some up at the moment.

The other person you replied to today has a really nice library.

They said they want to sell all of it, with three players, no trades.

The problem is that they have absolutely NO way to be contacted and may not realize it. The other problem they have is that the three machines could be an albatross in the deal.

The easiest way for them to do what they wish is probably via local classifieds/Craigslist, eBay or Kijiji, depending on if they are in the US or Canada.

There was CL ad posted today in Indy. 1000 to 2000 videodiscs maybe 150 unopened. 10 players, one in box. Other promotonal stuff. $2500

I texted 15 min after it was posted. He sent a text back a couple hours later saying he would only sell it as a whole. 15 minutes after that he said it was sold. Who bought it? Razz

You have to keep in mind that CL is a different world that eBay...some people have firm ideas of how they wish to sell and will not budge. Some were burned on eBay or other places and can be wary or even kinda paranoid and may even pull an ad if they get to many offers they don't favor.

Maybe they sold them all at once...maybe on of 'us' got them, maybe they consigned them for sale or auction with another party.

Maybe they just got tired of being asked to break them up etc. and pulled the sale.

Maybe they will show again, in that manner or another. I'm betting that somebody got them to break up in resale.

The guy did text again saying he put the collection together piece by piece and would pass on my info to the buyer. I was just surprised someone would have an interest in CED stuff to pay a couple thousand. Even a reseller I would imagine would have trouble selling that large of a collection.

Here is a list of what i'm parting with. Located in the Buffalo, NY area if anyone here is interested and local would prefer to do business with that individual first. All discs came from a single owner, but untested as I don't have a working CED player anymore- all in fair shape.

Price based on CED Magic's rarity list and used ebay sold and completed listings as a gauge for fair market value for the Rares/Very Rares. If my pricing is off, let me know- did the best I could to price fairly.

Not sure if I can post my contact information here if it's allowed- but email me at: cindeaux@gmail.com- put in the heading CED movies so I can track. First come, first serve.

I will send you photos of what you want so you can see condition, etc. Just let me know.

Pretty neat ebay auction Arizona. SKT-400 with remote, 265 discs, and a cool cabinet to store everything in. Original owner. Pickup only. $400

Unless there is somebody down there it could well sit until it's split. The problem is that the sellers always hop you are going to take the titles and it would be easier than it would for them to sell the excess off. If you can et there are pick them up it's wonderful. But if you merely wanted a better player then you have baggage to disperse and the chances are good you have the titles already. White Elephant Syndrome.

Someone could always offer him something for just the player shipped. I don't have the money right now or I would do it. Offer a decent price so you shock him into taking it.
