Does anyone know who these two people are? If they are from here I'll leave it alone but this e****7 guy has single handedly drove so many prices up these past two weeks its ridiculous. He's just running through bidding on everything.

I agree. Back when I was buying movies back a couple of years ago I was getting good prices then I noticed later that everything I bid on the same people were there also and the prices were getting higher and higher.

I wondered if the guy selling had him bumping up the prices because he knew I was on a buying spree. But then again he could have just been someone like myself looking for the same category of movies.

But who knows..

He bid on like 20-25 things..... maybe won 3 and made the rest such a high price, no point in even bidding. Best part is he bid on only crap he thought was good the rarest one of the bunch he didn't even bid on once! What a schmuck! I truly despise people like him, great job!

* Smells something fishy*

It does seem to be the same people who happen to bid. I have seen it before too.

Hey, what's the idea of joining the forum and making a nonsensical pandering post to a topic, then thowing on an advertising link for insurance?

What do you really know or have to do with CEDs?

How would anyone know it's not a link to spyware or virus? Not very good form, pal.

Hate to be "that" guy, but doesn't ebay mask everything about your name. So I don't think his tag is e******7, I learned this the hard way. I thought some jerk was making my bids when I looked on my work comp, got home and logged it and it was me....

Hahah you bid yourself up. I do know what you mean though, but his private name to everyone else will always be e***7. Unless you are him or the seller. I have signed out of ebay and looked at what i was bidding on and it was always the same even though it looked nothing like my ebay name! I've seen him bidding again
http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&_trksid=p4340.l2565&rt=nc&item=290614134350

I mainly did it to see if anyone was bidding on the first one I posted cause most people here know what they are bidding on and if they say it was them I'd leave it alone! hahah

You'd think that was the case, that the same ebay hidden moniker would be the same for that ebay member anywhere, but logically it cannot be.

The moniker uses a letter followed by three asterisks and then another letter or number. Since there are 26 letters possible at the start and 26 letters and 10 numerals possible at the end, the possibilities are limited.

If you take each single letter alphabetically at the front, that gives you 36 different possibilities per letter running through all the letters and numerals available at the end.

So that would be 26x36, a finite number of possibilities of that hidden code of 936. So since there's not merely 936 ebay members, there must be more to the hidden code than can be seen superficially.

Also, by simply using a hidden code that doesn't change, ebay would be givig members away because of the ease of cross-referencing through feedback. I have found members who bid that way sometimes.

Its all good I am not too worried bout it, guy bid on all of one persons stuff, same name. Again mine stayed the same on all I bid, same with my number next to my name when I was not logged in. If you'd like, next time I have 2 or more bids we can check this out further. I know the numbers u multiplied say different but why was it that way with my name? I also know what you mean by tracking em down by the feedback!Smile So I think this ebays problem not ours and bigger companies have messed up in way worse ways!

I suspect they have a system that somehow tracks the IP address of the pc browsing ebay and sets a variety of hidden moniker possibilities for that browse. There has to be something like that going on, because the math is correct and the possibilities are much too limited otherwise.
