Hello everyone...

I'm Sean. I recently inherited a SFT-100 from among my grandmother's things, as well as a good chunk of the discs that were with it. When it was sent to me, my aunt was under the impression that it was inoperative, but I asked her to send it to me anyway, hoping to perhaps fix the issue, I tried loading a disc into the machine, and it worked pretty well.

It's still a bit temperamental, though. I'm waiting on getting a replacement stylus for the machine to see if improves playback issues on some of the discs I've tried.

I've also noticed that the turntable has a bit of a wobble to it. You can feel vibration if you touch the player while it's playing, and a vibration type rattle starts at about 5 minutes in, and continues to about 15 minutes before going away. I wanted to see what you all thought about that. My guess is that something needs to be adjusted, or perhaps the turntable needs some lubrication.

i just received one that was broken and i repaired it.
there is a video on utube that shows how to take everything apart if you get stuck.
good luck with it. Laughing

Hey welcome to CEDmagic!!!!!!! Sounds like you already got some good advice. If you hit a snafu while working on it, post it in here. Blindfury is just about the best there is on repairing these players! It is always good to see new people taking an interest in this format, careful though, it can become an addiction!!!!!!!

It is good to have you!!!!
