I got this player with the latest grab, it says its an SGT-200 W but have you ever seen one with a black almost transparent top and what looks like a wifi cord (I know its not) and some or serial port on side?
I forgot to take a pic of side port but u can kinda see it in the fourth picture!
It was disassembled when I got it and it is alot like an sft-100 so I was able to put it all back together and have it work! I tried both styli in it the RCA 154100 and the RCA 149000, both worked fine but one would should I use? Possibly the 154100 Cause it has stereo outputs? But it has to be an early model sgt-200 which used the 149000? _________________ I dont own

The 14900 stylus will work, but on stereo discs there will be a bit of noise- a slight hissing during high-frequency sound in the left channel. The only physical difference is a piece of rubber on the 154100 stylus, which can be added to the older one.
I have an SFT-100 which was hand-upgraded to stereo, unfortunately the mechanism is completely shot and I don't know where it came from. It looks like a regular player of that model except the AV jacks in the back were added and there's an indicator light on the front for stereo. _________________ Videodisc and stereo sound- there's no better value around! |

| When my Dad was at RCA during the CED production, and I was asking him about it, he mentioned that certain test models would have a lead out for connection to a diagnostic and testing device. I don't know if this was one of those, but I recall seeing some of those test models and all had see-through cabinets for visual observation. A lot of them went home with engineers rather than getting trashed, I guess. If he were still alive, he'd probably know for sure. |
