Which player (or players) do you all think are the most stylish? Or the ugliest? Here's my opinion: I think the Zenith VP2000 and the Sears LMNOP.QRST (whatever...that one that's basically an SFT-100) player are probably the most stylish (too bad they're mono SFT equivalents). The SGT-100 in my opinion was RCA's ugliest unit, though they may have looked better when they were new. The thin coat of silver paint wears off easily, revealing the black plastic underneath. They should have used light gray plastic. And the woodgrain along the back (which is not even a pretty woodgrain pattern) doesn't go with the rest of the player. Of course, the Japanese players (especially the Hitachis) are probably the ugliest of all! What do you all think? I'd like to see other peoples' opinions.

I love old 70s and 60s electronics because of the wood grain. Anything with alot of wood grain on it is to me usally considered stylish. I love RCA's first model.

Although I have only seen pictures of these 2 particular players, never up close, my preference is for the Hitachi VIP2000 & the Hitachi VIP2000R. I like the silver top & silver front panel with the wood grain in the middle; I think they blend nicely.

As for the ugliest players, I would have to say the RCA SJT090 & the RCA SKT090 because the brown & black plastic cabinet is lacklustre to me.

My pick for most stylish would be the Realistic, because it is the only player that really looks like a jet-age/space-age 1960s electronics item. But I really don't like the mechanical design.

@cnd to that would be the Toshiba or Wards models and I do like their internal operation.

Least stylish, because they are the plainest, would be the SJT/SKT 090, but I do like the way they work as well.

My pick is SGT250, it is sleek and shiny. I love it. I also like the Zenith VP2000.

Those 90's really do put me off Mad But the ones I really like are the toshiba vp500 and 550 even though I have never seen one right in front of me. I like the sanyo player a lot cause it looks different! But if there is one I really want and I think it looks the best is the skt425!!! http://www.cedmagic.com/museum/dimensia/skt425.html

RT9342: You may be thinking of the Sears 274.54740150.
