As many of you know, I always remark how CED collectors ought to also collect LDs as well to have a more robust and well-rounded movie collection, so for anyone looking to start collecting LDs who wants to get a good, working player at a really fair price to get started, here you go.

After putting together all the CED players left from Dad’s shop that was in probate on the classifieds here, I just recently went through my Dad’s big laserdisc player lot that we got from the estate and found more than 30 LD players that are in good shape and working. There’s another 10 or so that need some work, but I won’t list those.

Since I had a few requests from members wanting to see a list of the players, I am putting that list here. I used abbreviations to mark what audio and video option each player has, the key is below. Plus if you’re a new LD collector just starting out, I’ll send you a free LD of a movie that’s not on CED with your player to get you started. (Just tell me what genre you like). Most of these players can also be seen and referenced at this website:

http://www.laserdiscarchive.co.uk/

Abbreviation key
RF—RF output channels 3 or 4
AV—Video/S-video out & RCA plug stereo audio (Mono, Stereo, Dolby Pro-logic 5.1)
OPT—Optical audio out (Mono, Stereo, Dolby Pro-logic 5.1, DTS 5.1)
CX—Coaxial audio out (Mono, Stereo, Dolby Pro-logic 5.1, DTS 5.1)
AC3—(Unique to LD) Dolby Digital 5.1 out
SS—Plays single side only, you flip disc over, like a CED
DS—Plays dual sides, automatic side turning

These four players are the only ones that have a gray or vintage look finish, all others are black or very dark gray.
