I am new to the forum and this is my first posting. I collect films relating in any way to Charles Dickens in all film/video formats.

In this regard, I am looking for Dickens adaptations on CED and Laserdisc. My understanding is that four CED titles were released in the US and two in the UK.

I'm hoping that someone may be interested in trading. I'm afraid that I don't have anything on CED at the moment, however I do have a large Laserdisc collection. Also, for anyone who likes Dickens, I'm sure that I can offer something interesting on DVD or VHS.

Do you have the Dickens titles handy for CED/LD? Nothing is coming to mind for me at the moment: not a real surprise Wink

The Dickens filmography seemingly as it is on CED would be:

David Copperfield

And three based on Christmas Carol

A Christmas Carol
Mickey's Christmas Carol
Scrooge

I didn't see any others, did anyone?

Thanks very much for the replies. The four titles mentioned above do seem to be all that was released in the US on CED.

SCROOGE is the 1970 musical starring Albert Finney. MICKEY'S CHRISTMAS CAROL is, of course, a Disney film. And DAVID COPPERFIELD and A CHRISTMAS CAROL are from an animated series made in Australia.

It is also my understanding that the famous British versions of GREAT EXPECTATIONS and OLIVER TWIST that were made by David Lean in the late forties were released on CED in the UK.

I'm trying to compile a list of Dickens titles on Laserdisc and will post my findings asap. I do know, however, that there have been quite a few.

Would love to hear from anyone who has any of the above available for trade.

Thanks! fredguida44@yahoo.com
