Famous last words;) I'd say he is right, unless he has either an SJT400 or SKT400 player. Smile

I've watched all the interactive discs on my 250 player straight through. Murder Anyone? and Many Roads to Murder were originally made for laserdisc- I have Many Roads on laserdisc also. My laserdisc player lets you disable the auto still-frame flags on the discs so interactive discs can also be played straight through on that without stopping (you usually have to hit Play when the disc automatically freezes, since it wants you to skip chapters at that point.)

So, you can watch them on other players? That is so cool. Jesse, can you explain how the discs actually work on the SJT400. Are there instructions on the discs?

I don't have a 400 (have never found one for a decent price and I don't really like the loading on the J players anyways as it takes longer and sometimes the disc gets stuck and you have to take the player apart to get it out) but I've heard the disc tells the player to pause at parts where you have to enter a chapter number. Laserdisc players do this on CAV discs as well.

Here's the first 15 minutes of The DisneyDisc of Mystery and Magic played on my SGT-250 (I prefer this player also because you can hear how dual-audio tracks are actually encoded, an example is near the end of this segment.)

I have always loved the SGT250, it was my first one, and It will always be my favorite. I have always belived the SGT250 had a crisper, clearer picture, and sound that the SJT400. Unfortunately, the thing I have found is that the SJT400 takes care skips/jumps better than the SGT250, or the ZenithVP2000. I prolly already posted this somewhere else, but I have a movie, (Alice Doesn't Live Here Anyomre,) that will NOT play the first several minutes in with the VP2000 or the SGT250. When I pop it in the SJT400, it plays perfectly! Go figure. I am like you in that theh players that have the little doors on them so you can get to theh stylus, are much, MUCH easier to work on!!!
