I'm sure everyone has heard from John from CEDatum, but just in case some of the new guys here didn't get one, I wanted to let eveyone know. John Stevens, Howard Hill both do fantastic work on these players. I watched him work on mine and was amazed. I have seen some of John's work too, they along with one more are going to hold the workshop on July 9th, which happens to be my 55th Birthday!! They will have to have at least 5 people sign up, it only costs 25 dollars to go. They are selling some CEDs from the They have over 1000 discs that are stored at the Arts Center that will be for sale that day. 3.bucks each and 4 bucks for the ones in cellophane. If we are there, obviously the magic words appear to my thoughts, NO SHIPPING CHARGES!!!! I do hope there will be enough to have this workshop, it looks great. If anyone is interested, and you didn't get an email, send me your email addy to Beetlescott@msn.com and I'll forward it to you. Please put CED in the subject line so the junk monster doesn't eat you!!!

Yep, I always tell people, OH it's Tom's birthday too. Some of them will say, yeah, that's nice. .....Who's Tom?? I get to tell them about me and Tom:)

I did. John contacted me directly after he saw my post here and indicated that I could attend. I guess there was enough room. So, it was worth trying! Now I just have to figure out which one of my players is the most broken-down... |

Actually, the email states that they need a minimum of 5 people.
Not limited to 5 people.
I just don't want anyone to be diswayed from attending because they think it's full.

We will need a minimum of 5 participants to run the Workshop. The cost is $25.00 which will include all handout material.
I did see that! But this is what an email from cedatum said to me.
Hello Ryan,
I am attaching the agenda for our 9th July workshop. We are limiting attendance to 5 person as there are hands-on demos and a 'clinic'. We already have 4 persons signed up. Please confirm within a week that you will attend.
If you need anymore details just e-mail.
Thank you - John at CEDatum.
Which is why I said all that in previous post including, I'm glad they allowed him to join!

Hey, I'm glad to hear that you got in!!! So we got 6! I'm sorry Ryan, I didn't read the part that said he was limiting the number. My best frient is coming all the way from PA, or at least he was. Now I have to tell him he can't come. Perhaps I should send John an email too. *crosses fingers*

Hope everyone enjoyed the workshop, I certainly learned a lot. Enjoyed meeting everyone. Hope you enjoy the discs and the players. Still looking for the We're All Devo {76476122324} disc.

Mark, it was great meeting you too! What a great time! Thanks so much, I am enjoying both. It is so funny, they were talking about the picture on the players "jumping from side to side" & the color "bleeding". That is exactly what my new SFT100 is doing! The first thing I did was switch out the stylus, still did the same. I havent attemped to do anything with it yet, I haven't got the confidence yet! It is beautiful though!! Again, Thank you, and it was so nice of you! I watched one of my movies last night, (actually finished it around 2am) I enjoyed it so much, one of my all time favorite movies, "12 Angry Men, the original with Henry Fonda) I hope we get to get together agian!

Honestly Scott, if you can get that service disc I will pay for shipping to and from for your sft-100 and I'll record the exact process and send you the video of it so you know and can always look back to for guidance!

Yeah, I'm pretty much a lurker on here, but I do occasionally chime in... It was nice to meet all of you, and it was a fun and informative afternoon. Yes, Mark thanks for the discs. I've already watched Westworld with my nine-year-old son, who loved it.
I'm not sure I'll part with the service disc any time soon. I think it's probably the only way to really dial a player in. Still gotta hook my player up to my scope and see what I can see...
Oh, anybody remember anything about adjusting/fixing the arm stretcher on the J/K series? I remember discussion about the F/G series, but I don't about the J/K. I'm seeing a little side-to-side movement on my player. |
