|
|
My name is Robert,
I am interested in getting hold of a NTSC CED player in an unserviceable condition.
I wish to then modify it to work with the England electricity supply and also my PAL 1080p television.
I like the idea of a RCA SKT 400 player.
I already have two NTSC disks, I will keep them as ornaments if I am unsuccessful.
Failing this a PAL CED player.
I like the idea of a Hitachi VIP 201 P with wireless remote and in an unserviceable condition, also to play on my PAL 1080p television.
Would anyone have advice? |

Im in the UK and have a SGT250 im trying to get to work.
Im awaiting a 12v to 110v 60hz inverter to arrive which im hoping will sort things.
Other than that i have a few hitachi vip201 and vip101's.
Only one remote though and deffo wouldnt part with that.
Also got many many discs i need to get rid off.
Im not that far off my target of all 272 pal titles now.
Id get the likes of an SKT 400 if it wasnt for the huge shipping costs that will be involved. |

I have a great number of CED players that need some type of work or other. I had run an ebay listing for a month, but it's finished.
Still, you can see it here:

They have little problems of different sorts with them that can be fixed and others that are just good for parts. What specifically are you interested in getting?
Also, what kind of input does a PAL 1080 HD TV have? There might be an unconverter/scaler device that will take the NTSC and put it out in 1080 HD. For example, I have a dual NTSC/PAL laserdisc player which I run through my DVDO HD plus and it accepts the PAL signal when I play a PAL disc and converts it to 1080 HD. |
