Are you kidding me hahah 10 g's!!!!!!! and first line in description is hahahah Sony LDP-1000A Laserdisc player

Can be considered NEW? In my judgment this unit has never been pulled out of the box, but this is not a guarantee since Im not an expert.

I'll bet no expert! Is this the ruby encrusted ld player no one knows about? idc if it plays games. no ld player is worth that much, even the ones that record aren't that high.

Just an opinion, but I would bet it would go $3-4k to the right person (not me) http://www.laserdiscarchive.co.uk/laserdisc_archive/pioneer/pioneer_hld-xo/pioneer_hld-xo.htm Some of the players command a hefty tag even today

That was my first laserdisc player- found it at a flea market for 10 bucks, with a Ford sales training disc inside. My mom threw the player out a while later, it didn't work too well anyways. The only LD players that would go for over $1000 are the Japanese "Muse" format players, which played analog high-definition discs in addition to the regular NTSC discs.

I am very interested in buying your discs but first give me a chance to sell
my copy then I will get back to you.

I went to Half Price Books yesterday searching for a specific DVD set yesterday, and to my surprise they had some laser discs for sale! There was a boxed set of Schindlers List, Poltergeist & Poltergeist 2 The Other Side. My immeadite response was to look around for some CEDs!

LD's I see on rare occasion, never seen CED's anywhere though. Must be because these are highly prized and nobody is willing to part with them.... that or they get chucked in a dumpster Wink

Starts the bidding at 25.00 with a RESERVE!!!!!! Lets all get one of those, just 500 bucks! Could I maybe get one for each day?

Personally I think $850 is quite a steal for a 'pig in a poke' I mean really, there could be classified Senate dealings or John Gotti putting out a contract. Just think- you could be buying history..... well that or .25 tapes with disco and country Smile

In case the auction has ended, this is the description copied right from the page(seriously), I think this guy is joking but I am not too sure, might PM him and ask....

THIS IS NOT A LASERDISC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kate Bush - The Single File - CED VIDEO DISC

UK PAL
1984 RCA Limited. Made in the USA

This is an extremly rare item, a 27 years old CED Videodisc (made for CED player system). To find out more about CED system click here : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capacitance_Electronic_Disc

This item is unique as very few copies were made, limited edition came out in the USA in 1984 for the UK market.

Some Kate Bush fans collecting memorabilia have been looking for this disc for years.

Some internet sources say that this item can even reach the price of more than $10,000.

This disc is in a very good condition.

Please write if you have any questions, I will be happy to answer them.

Happy bidding!

Another dufus. Well, you can always just take the player and tell him to forget the discs, unless there's something pretty rare to take a chance with.

It's not a CED player, but here's a VCR that plays PAL/NTSC tapes, with two newbie bidders or a bewbie and a shill bidder that have gone ridiculous.

I bought two of these for $20 each at 2cnd hand stores. Of course they were 2cnd hand, but a new one list price was less than $200.
