I KNOW!! The first CED player I bought back in September of 2010, it was listed on Craigs List for 1500 dollars for an SGT200 and 50 movies!!!/ I contacted them (after I got off the floor from laughing so hard I peed) and explained as nicley as I could that they were aff a wee bit, and offered them 50 dollars for the entire lot. Before I got the words out of my mouth, he said OK. So, I talked him from 1500 to 50 dollars in one day:). _________________ SGT-250

As long as you use keywords : vintage, rare, antique it automatically makes them worth crazy money. Hey Scott will you be Skypeing while you eat your collection? _________________ Scott

"Antique dealers" ask crazy prices for everything- these guys also have a used Harry Potter DVD priced at $40 "or best offer". They probably won't be able to get more than $5 from it. _________________ Videodisc and stereo sound- there's no better value around! |

Wargames = $150
BlueThunder = $175
Sunshine Boys= $100

People who ask that much at the very least have no excuse to not know what they're talking about- the format was not scrapped after 2 years like the seller says. They need to learn how to use their shift key when appropriate too.
Too bad Ebay doesn't let you post comments. My favorite sellers are those who say "I don't know much about this" but ask much more than it's worth to those who do know about them. (I've seen this for lots of different items, not just CEDs). _________________ Videodisc and stereo sound- there's no better value around! |

Check this out!
http://scranton.craigslist.org/atq/2326497149.html
An RCA CED player (of unknown model number) along with 10! (unnamed) CED's... and they only want $250!!
Crazy? But wait! According to the ad this is a 'vintage 1979' model!
1979? Really? Must be some sort of rare pre-release prototype which is why they don't give the model number. I guess that also explains the outrageous price price. |

I'll undercut this guy and sell war-games for $125 with free shipping. I'll even detail where all the skips on the disc are so you can be ready for them. Remember these are 'vintage' and 'rare antiques!!!'... "What a deal you are getting from me!"... "I must be crazy!"... "My loss is your gain." |

Man if this keeps up I may have to drop my price to 99.95 and throw in a dvd version (shipping fees of only 19.95)
BTW- wasn't there a Selectavision VCR in 1979? Confusing ad, but great pictures and descriptions _________________ Scott

The first Selectavision VHS VCR came out in 1977. The commercials said "Let RCA turn your television into- SelectaVision!"

I got a response back from him in regards to a discount for the damage he is causing...... ready?...... ok:
Hello, The Videodiscs unlike laser discs have a hard plastic case that protects them and is also used to slide them into the player. They have been on level ground and there is no warpage on the cases. [/b] _________________ Scott

Well, since any buyer has to go pick them up, they could bring a player and check them there for damage before paying. (I quick-check my discs by skipping to 15, 20, and 25 minutes into each side, since that's where the most damage shows up.) There's a lot of good titles in there- "Greatest Fights of the 70s" was the very last regular title I acquired to complete my collection (so that one was the hardest for me to find!) _________________ Videodisc and stereo sound- there's no better value around! |

Yes, that burns me too. "These movies played great last time they were played", but I don't have a player anymore, so it's as is. _________________ SGT-250

How True. When my Granny watched them in 1082, they played like new. There was a reason for that.....THEY WERE NEW!!! _________________ SGT-250
