I found this player for sale on Ebay & I am wondering if it is a good deal. Its asking price seems high to me. The picture shows that it still has the original box, but says that it is "for parts or not working" & the item description is cryptic. The seller also says that it is a laserdisc player. I do not think they know anything at all about what they are trying to sell.

I made an offer to this guy before..... he said $100 would take it and he would even throw in the 1 ced hahah! This is after I messaged him about it not working and how they usually only go for $10 to $40 non working hahah! If your gut tells you it works, give him an offer for $50! 300 is out of the question for me If you really want to spend money, get a non used, in box, (opened to be serviced before selling) ced player. You should talk to cedpro, he's got pretty much any RCA player you want! If interested I'll shoot you his email!

Haha, what a scam artist. "I found this at a yard sale".... so you paid 5, maybe 10 bucks? a fair price, then put it on ebay for 300?? I did also laugh when he said " The TV we have does not take the outputs from
the player so don't know anything more about it." Yeah, because tv's don't have RF anymore.... broken and he knows it.

Your correct the shipping isnt going to cost me $200 but the unit itself is also worth alot more than .99 cents. this is a bit of a collectors item and the base price for this is $200.99 with free shopping or $180.99 base price with $20 shipping how ever you want to look a it. Hope this answers your question.

A scam, to make sure he gets price he wants w/o paying extra ebay fees (buy it now & reserve price, etc.) seems like a shady sell to me. not cool at all

Someone in Canada is selling some concert HD-DVDs for $4.99 but shipping on each is about $7. I asked them (without directly objecting to the price) if they discounted shipping if you bought multiple discs, and they replied saying (paraphrased) "we sell most of our stuff at a loss, so most of our profit comes from the shipping charges." I felt like asking then why they didn't just price their items higher and charge what it really costs for shipping??
