I have three tier shelf that was built for a room in a game room upstairs in the house we leased when we used to live, It was built to fit in with the ceiling that went down to the floor of the room. It ws built to hold heavy weight. The frame was built out of iron bars. the shelving was sold wook planks that had been finished. It has iron bar supports, and I added ome mmofr to keep it from swaging. I have my movies on it all in albhabetic order. I also keep a list of whats in there, because there are so many, (about 550) If I ever find my camera, I plan to take a few pictures. So, how do you keep your treasures stored??

no problem! a good way to see how people are doing things is hit the quote button to see how they have set things up! if your talkin bout the picture not showin up and just the link, i thinks its cause you were linking your album not the actual picture link

Scott!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love your cabinet!! I do fear, however, that you are getting ready to run of room;) How did you find a cabinet deep enough to set the movies?

Heck that was easy to find. We had some junker cabinets at the shop a few years back. I modified it to the staggered depth you see. Run out of room? Never Wink All I need to do is build matching ones. I have a side job to bid tomorrow, so when I build that I'll do my addition as well Smile

FYI: custom cabinet shop for 15 years

Scott, How can you not have a support on that top shelf? Great job, what kind of melamine?

Top one is actually glued and nailed all 4 sides and I doubt that it's going anywhere soon. The one above just has reels on it so it doesn't really need any beefed up support.
3/4 mel, shal we say better grade than Lowes/HD normally stock. A lot denser and a better vinyl overlay.

Addiction- who me? Nooooo, I'm just playing "keeping up with the Thornton's" Smile

Scott, nice rack for your discs! Always need room for expansion and it sounds like you are building more cabinets for that ever growing CED collection. Looks like you need a few more players... Wink

Self control.... I did have 3 motorcycles at 1 time, but now only 1. Would I like another 1or 2? uhmmmm, *maybe* , will I- not until I start making real money again. CED players though are a wee bit cheaper, and I might need 1 for the outside 'movie theatre' ..... I can justify it all Wink

Here is how I store them

Its just a $30 shelf from Wal mart. The shelves to like to bow when filled with CEDs, so thats why on the second shelf, I have them split towards the edges. I've thought about arranging them so all my Mono Discs are on the bottom and my Stereo discs are on top. haha. I just wish my spines looked better.

The shelf above that; Books, Manga, and games (yes I am an Otaku).

cheap and easy fix is to put a board dead center running through each shelf down to the floor, take a look at my pic to see what I'm talking about.
