THE BATTLE OF BRITAIN

One of my all time favorite war movies. The funny thing is that I have this movie also on DVD and Blu-ray, yet this past weekend, I watched it on CED. Nutty huh?

Scott,

You are very welcome! Like I said, its as if it never left the family. I know it is in good hands. I just ordered it on DVD from Amazon.

For those inquiring minds, I bought that Poltergeist CED brand new when it was first released back in what 82 or 83. It has been cared for in my collection for all these years. My brother Scott had been searching for a clean copy, so I am happy to fill that void in his collection. One of the fun parts of this hobby is sharing with new friends.

Question: Do you remember if during the scene where Carol Ann slides across the floor, did you hear the dad say "I hate Pizza Hut" ? This was removed from the original movie when it was put on DVD, however, I never checked if it survived on CED.

OK, I scanned up to the scene where Carrol Ann says "I'm hungry" & Diane says ""We'll go get Pizza Hut". I'm assuming that is where Steve is suppose to say "I hate Pizza Hut." ?? If that is correct, It isn't in the CED, but it isn't in my DVD either. It is a DVD the kids got me for Christmas. Couild it be in the deleted scenes?

From what I have read, Pizza Hut was pretty upset about that line in the movie and pressed the studio to remove it when it went into the home video market. Supposedly all version on home video have this deleted. I just wasn't sure if it may have survived on CED at the time. Apparently not. Thanks for checking. I mean't to check it before I shipped the disc to you, but packaged it up and it was like, oh well, forgot to check the disc. I mark it up as another chemobrain moment. I say that cause it was like just 5 minutes before I taped the package up, I told myself to check the disc. It is a great movie and my DVD copy is on its way to me. Enjoy the disc! Glad I can take care of my brother!

I hope there is a DVD with it in it. The DVD I got for Christmas, wasn't the 25th anniversary edition I had asked Santa for, (I must of not been as good a boy as I could of been) I got just a standard DVD. I will prolly get it on BluRay, as it is one of my favorites. When I watch certian CEDs, it brings memories flood all over me. Poltergeist is one of them. Thanks again, my brother, it is flawless!!! I will never let it out of my hands:)

Scott, I got the 25th Anniversary DVD, but I understand there are some new features, but they took off the original trailer that was on the previous DVD release.

I know it's not CED, but I had to watch this one since it is listed as #1 http://www.lddb.com/laserrot.php it has rot, but not enough to be a distraction and most of it was on side 2.

THE TERRY FOX STORY

Scored this one on ebay a couple of weeks ago. I really wanted this movie since it has never come out on DVD, only VHS and CED. These don't come up on ebay very often. Great movie and it hits close to home since Terry Fox had cancer, which eventually took his life. I just went through all 2010 battling leukemia. I am in remission, thank God and all those that supported me!

Anyways, if you get a chance to grab a copy of this movie, it is a good one and again not available on DVD. This was made by HBO.

A movie the whole family loves Smile minor glitch, but I had pre-run it last night

Love the theme song, which is lyric free in the tv show Crying or Very sad

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=memC01Bmrhs in case you've never heard it with the words.

Not as good as I remembered it, but still a decent flick and the kids liked it. A few seconds of glitch without a pre-run of it.

I pre run most of my CEDs too, sometimes twice. It is unbelievable how much better they play after running them. For those of you have have not had the priviledge of watching these CEDs on the SJT400, it is unbelievable how well it removes glitches from a movie! As most of you know, I always leaned towards the SGT250, and I do love it, but I popped a movie in my Zenith player, it jumped all the way through, I ran it back several times, still jumped all over the place! Sometimes when you have a glitch like that, if you run it back a few times, it will clean out the groove. Not this disc. I took it out, popped it in my SGT250. Same thing.:
jump, jump, jump da da da da da da I was about to take it out and use it for a frisbee, but I thought I'd just see how it played in the SJT400......NOT ONE SKIP, GLITCH OR JUMP!!! I couldn't believe it. Not one. it was dramatic!. I'm not sure about the SJT300, does anyone here have one that is as well as the 400? If you haven't got a 400, and you have a disc that won't play, put it back in a box, when you do get a 400, try it again. Smile
