I got a note back from Barbra that she will be reposting w/ pics and titles.
She was surprised at the response.... why do I suspect it's all from this group? If someone here does get them- ya gonna divvy them up? _________________ Scott

That would be too far for me to go. Did she say how many discs she had in the collection? I already have a Sears (Hitachi) player, so I don't need another one.
Thanks for the heads up! |

She stacks all the discs, then stacks that heavy player on top of the stack. OUCH!!!!! Might be OK, if she did this just to snap a picture of the collection, but chances are the discs might have been stored this way too. All knowing collectors know better than to stack them up.
Alchemy are you thinking of pulling the trigger on this collection? If the player and stylus are in good condition, it might be worth making an offer. That is if you are looking for another player. This one is not stereo. I used to have this exact player, bought it new in 1981 from Radio Shack. The stylus arm eventually froze and never moved again, I tossed it when I moved to Oregon. |

I was considering it, but am hesitant after seeing the pic. I emailed her earlier telling her there was a good chance they are damaged. I might $50, I don't need another player and especially not a mono.
Kind of like the LD ads "I have a player and a bunch of discs" I've chased a couple of those and end up wanting to smack the seller _________________ Scott

I bought a player that came with 55 movies and about half of them was playable. They looked like they were in great shape, but they were stacked on top of each other all through the years. Theyy weigh 1.5 lbs each and that adds up fast. I'm like dean, i don't think they would be hurt if you stack them that way to take a picture, but if they have been stored like that, its over. _________________ 1000 titles
