Ok, I have been selling some of my Star Trek stuff off to get more involved with this new hobby. So I buy and sell and buy and sell until I get enough money, (almost) to get my 'DREAM MACHINE"! An SJT400! I descided to go for broke, and get one of the 'Brand New (old) ones that CEDpro has for sale. He gave me a great deal, and IT ARRIVED TODAY!!!! I'm so excited, I feel like I might throw up. I gently remove my faithful SGT250, change hook ups, and slide the 400 in to place. I push the power button, "L" starts flashine I get my movie, slide it part way in, and, for the first time since I have wanted one of these in 1984, the player gently pulls the caddy in, and gently pushes the hcaddy back out, and then....................................................................................................................NOTHING!!!! NOTHING HAPPENS! on the minute counter the "--" is there, I'm waiting for the "0" to pop us and the movie to take off, nothing, I mean, the only thing on about the player that is lit up is the minute counter, and (I found this a bit strange) After the side 2 lights up, (I had just watched side 1 when the phlayer came) a few seconds after, sike one light comes on too. I took the top off, noting, it is dead, the disc is in playing position, but nothin. I decided maybe the stylus was missing, so I checked. I rolled the arm to the position to check the stylus, it was there, so when I turn the power back on, the arm is suppose to movie back to start position, right? Can someone give me an idea? Could it be a fuse? If so, where is a fuse on an SJT400? my "happy" changed to "Sad" really quickly. I just don't understand, the words, "Please Load Disc" came on the screek, (first time I ever saw that), like I said it just STOPPED!!! If anyone can offer advice, I need some!
Thanks in advance
