I have a SJT-300 that needs a new/used working front panel membrane switch. the player loads the disc but when it come time to eject it or do anything on the front panel other than on/off there's no response. it responds to the 5 commands on the remote but since there's no eject the disc just stays in there until i take the unit a part. so if you have a broken SJT or SKT player with the same amount of buttons which is 7 ( not including the power switch) so if you have one please drop me a line

I'm located in sacramento,ca

thanks
scott

RCA has a part number on a replacement membrane for switch panel assembly. But I doubt if you will be able to find one. CEDatum offers a front panel rebuild service. We install micro-tactile switches in place of the membrane switches. The tactile switches are low resistance and very reliable. Contact CEDatum for details.

If your goal is robustness and long-term reliability, CEDatum's replacement switch panel would be the way to go. However, I successfully repaired the front panel membrane switches in my SKT-400 using a CircuitWriter pen I got for $6 and no additional parts (not knowing that CEDatum's service was available) and it's been working flawlessly for 2 years.

Not that I'm trying to take business away from CEDatum -- they're great guys and do quality work -- but there are also other options.
