CED VideoDisc and Player Discussion

This question is for someone who was employed at RCA who knew if there were any quality improvement plans for the CED player or discs before production shut down? I'm talking about video quality improvements.

There's some info on the CED Magic site about planned advancements for the format that never saw the light of day- the most interesting is discs that had multiple grooves that worked similar to the multi-angle function on DVDs- the stylus would follow one path and could switch to another with the push of a button.

I'd like someone from RCA to give us the final word about the skipping- THAT should have been ELIMINATED COMPLETELY before the format was even put on the market. Right now it's part of the charm of the format since it's long dead, but I never would have accepted that on any new technology that I bought.
