If anyone out there knows if there were any video quality improvements betweem the SFT-100 and SKT-400 or any improvements were planned before player production was halted, this includes disc quality also. Please share your information with the forum.

Although I have never actually tried out an SKT-400, I doubt it would have better picture. I think the only advantage with the better models are the features and the audio. I've looked at the schematics between an SFT-100, an SGT-200, and an SJT-300, and they had the same video chips and practically the same video circuitry. In comparing different models on my monitor, I could see no difference in picture quality. As far as the sound, though, it may just be me, but it seems like the SGT and SJT models had less noise in the audio than my SFT-type players. I do know, however, that there are some differences between the SJT and SKT models, and between the 300 and 400 models, but as far as I know, I don't think they made any significant video improvements.
