Not a bad deal, but a LaserDisc player is included, not a CED player????

It must be the special combi model, some combi's will play cd's, but CED's.... NOT.
I would try it, but I really like my CLD-79 to much to try Wink

Somebody should call and ask him if he's tested it with those discs- record the call then post it online! Twisted Evil I saw someone on Ebay once sell an older top-loading laserdisc player with some CEDs, and said that they worked.

Well it has to be one of two things:

Stupidity
Lying

OR MAYBE ITS ONE OF THOSE COMBO PLAYERS???? When you put one kind in, the stylus popps up, when y0u popp in a silver disc, a laser beam:). Evil or Very Mad

Add ignorance to that list.

Once again, a player set on top of the discs, and even the wrong player too.

Discs stacked improperly, and who knows for how long?

Still, if somebody lived nearby and could go check the discs, it might be a worthwhle purchase.

You are correct, I left off the most important one, Ignorance has been the destruction of many a good movie. Last Fall, when I started buying movies, if there were very many of them, about 40% of the ones I bought were playable. Many times the caddys were in near perfect shape but you could always tell the ones that had been on the bottom, with players on top. Many of them wouldn't play at the beginning or end of the disc, but would play in the middle. Oh well, live and learn. It's no shame to be ignorant, but to STAY ignorant is the sad thing.

ok, I emailed him last night- sent him a link for LDDB to set up an account to see what he has, also questioned if he had laserdiscs he was selling, since it was an LD player he was giving away.....

----> Hello, thanks for the info. I will use the link to create a list for you. The player is for ced video discs only, my mistake. I will update my listing. Thanks Andy <-----

Try as I might I cannot see anything about it playing CED's http://www.laserdiscarchive.co.uk/laserdisc_archive/pioneer/pioneer_cld-980/pioneer_cld-980.htm ignorance can be scary <sigh>
