Not sure if I should try selling or giving them away here or on craigslist. I know I want it to be a local pickup only as I don't feel like going through the hell of shipping and want to get rid of it all in one fell swoop. I've got a large collection of CEDs in a climate-controlled storage unit and a few working players at my parents house.

I don't have a full list of titles written down but I can see if I have particular ones if you name them.

The CEDs are in about five or six large boxes with the title spine facing up. A small number of discs were stored by a previous owner flat on top of the player when I first got into this hobby back in 1992. That player was a Zenith VP2000 and died many years ago and was thrown away so it won't be included. I tried replacing as many of those discs with better duplicates as they became available. Most of the discs I have were purchased in large lots off ebay between 1999-2003 when they still had a CED category. I don't know how those were stored prior to my purchasing them but they've all been stored properly since I got them. I'd say a good majority of them played cleanly with no skipping on my SJT-090 when I was still into this hobby. I passed the leftover duplicates onto a friend years ago just getting into this hobby so there will be very few of those. I think the only ones I might have dups of are the Playboy titles.

I have both functional and parts players.

(1) SGT-250 connected via a/v cable to my parents living room tv. I still use it on occasion for my nieces.

(2) SJT-090 sitting on a shelf in my old bedroom that was my primary player for a number of years before I moved out. It had excellent picture quality and sound. I think it had a slight problem where the video wizzed out if the player got too hot but that was after it was running for a few hours. The easy fix was to shut it off for awhile and let it cool down.

(3) SJT-100 also on a shelf in bedroom. Video quality is excellent but there is a problem where the audio is barely there. I purchased a copy of the SJT repair manual (to be included) but never got around to fixing the problem because I had bought the SGT-250 to use as a secondary player when my first player, a Zenith VP2000 bit the dust.

(4) lastly in storage with the discs is a second SJT-090 player that I bought for parts. I don't know what is wrong with it or what parts are missing as I never tried using it.

I came across a loose stylus in my bedroom, which has since disappeared. Trying to track it down. I think it might have been the old one from the working SJT-090 that was my primary player when I replaced the stylus with a NOS in the late 1990's.

As I mentioned before due to the large quantity of material I want to do a local pickup only and it will be for ALL OF IT at once. Since I haven't been into collecting them in about six years I don't even know what the going value for any of this stuff is now?

I'll have to hook up the SJT-090 and SJT-100 from the bedroom to see if they still work fine. Don't know if any of the belts have melted due to them not being used in years. I know the SGT-250 works since it never got disconnected after I put the majority of discs into storage.

Local pickup will be East Providence, RI 02915 at the storage unit facility on a saturday or sunday as I work during the week. I'll bring the players and any remaining discs from my house there. Please make a best-offer. I'd like to at least make back some of the money I've put into this hobby over the years. I might even be convinced to just give them all away if I have to.

my email addy is joseph1075@msn.com and the zip for local pickup again is 02915

-Joe

Found this partial list of titles I started back in 2004. It was in my yahoo briefcase. It only has A to M. I'm not sure if there is any titles from A to M I have not put on the list before I gave up on writing it. Sorry I don't have anything for N to Z listed. If you are interested in making an offer or have any questions please feel free to email me at joseph1075@msn.com.

Please let me just stress one more time for all those who've kindly emailed me wanting only certain titles or just the players: it's LOCAL PICKUP ONLY and EVERYTHING AT ONCE. I'm sorry if I sound rude but it's the way I want it. No Exceptions! Thank you.

Hello! My name is Michael. A friend told me years ago about CEDs after i found one in an antique store and didn't know what it was. I have never seen one since then.

Yesterday, our local catholic school had a fund-raising yardsale. Items were donated and sold and all proceeds went to the school. I picked up an SGT100 and 6 disks. The disks are:

9 To 5 {24543109990} C
Count of Monte-Cristo, The {76476005191} C
Enter the Dragon {76476031251} U (have watched this one already)
Hunchback of Notre Dame, The {76476004026} U
Revenge of the Pink Panther [RCA] {76476014193} U
Sea Wolves, The (2) {24543707295} U (DISK 1 ONLY)

The school was happy with the offer I made for the entire lot, but I wished I could give more. I walked away with it for $10

I connected the unit to my TV, inserted and removed "Enter the Dragon" and flipped the switch to play. My wife and I sat and watched the whole movie! It started out staticy but soon cleared up, as you would see while a VCR found it's tracking. The rest of the movie played well.

FFF, I live in Eastern Connecticut, in Thompson, and would be much more than interested in your offer. I have nothing at this time to give you in trade or to offer you in cash, but if you are still willing to give the lot away I will come and get it. If necessary, I will take the lot, sell and ship SOME of the disks and offer you something for the lot then.

You are welcome to contact my through the forum or through email.

Thanks for posting this!

Michael, A.K.A. Blaise.
