Did you get my email from Friday I think it was? About someone I know has a spare... I sent it by clicking on the "email" button in the other thread...

Ah, well, if you've not heard anything back within a few days give me a yell and I'll see if he's receiving your messages.

Yeah, im not in too much of a rush, it'd just be nice to get watching the discs, i also have a small collection of US videodiscs and i know the J/K players can be used here with a stepdown transformer, which i have, i have seen an SJT090 for sale but it does not have the three jacks on the back, just the coaxial output, do you know if i can connect the coaxial lead to my British TV ?, Many Thanks

You'll need an NTSC TV to display an American CED player unfortunately. If you have composite video, your TV will likely support it just fine, but I've yet to see or hear of a TV that can grok an NTSC RF VHF signal in this country.... you'll get picture if you're lucky enough that your TV does VHF (I use a VCR for that), but you'll get no sound because the sound carrier is in the wrong place.

I'd very strongly recommend getting a composite video enabled player!

Incidentally, if you do need an NTSC TV, I use a WinTV card in a computer. It's a lot cheaper to import one PCI card than an entire telly! Smile
