I read alot of info from the webiste. Then started surfing ebay for a player. I bought a SFT 100W with five movies for $30 from a flea market.
I was so excited, didn't notice until got home. That each disc was a two part movie. And that I only had one disc out of the two for each movie.
But later on found found a SKT 90 for $8 at a different flea market.
Then ordered some movies from mailboxvideo, because they had a sale. (Plus the store was listed on cedmagic, or would not have even known).
Once again a great website on ced information, collecting, and repair. |

I can go a year or more and not see a single CED player at flea markets. This year I'm finding one about every weekend. Usually the cheap ones I find have magnet or speed problems, but I've picked up two in the last 3 months both working and with good needles. My CED luck is turning...
You gotta watch out for two part movies. Like you I learned that lesson. When I started collecting I bought 50 discs for $1 each from a flea thinking I was getting a great deal. Most of them were two part movies and, of course, missing their counterparts.
Cheers! |
