A little late this year but every October we try to watch one or two fright films each night, or a related genre film, like Sci Fi, Fantasy, Noir or Thrillers.
Tonight, after Primeval on PBS, we plan on watching HELLHOLE, a pretty rare CED to find.
What are you watching? |

Going thorugh the discs that were way in the back of the shelves, I grabbed Raiders of the Lost Arc, and decided we'd watch it tonight.
Not really considered a Halloween horror film, it does have elements of terror in it and some grisly effects that should be fun to see again after so many years. |

We got a new disc of Friday the 13th part 2, so we will watch Friday the 13th part 1 and part 2 tonight. Did not have time to catch anything last night.
Tomorrow we are gone to Lake Tahoe for 8 days and so won't be watching anything with the camping and hiking and DELETED until we get back.

Hey, Beetle, are the other ones not marked CED laserdiscs? Hope that new player is giving you good service. After you get that new part installed, put a nice photo of it up here so everyone can see how stylish it looks.
I've been missing the nightly scarefests that I like to put together every October, but Lake Tahoe is so nice that it's worth it. And I'll just do double features when we get back. |

Rixrex, I got the part for the player from Grasshopper. I took my player with the new part over to my neighbor, (who told me before he would be happy to put it in for me) I left it with him, he told me he would be in and out all day. I went back to my house. 15 minutes later the doorbell rang. I was sure he had bad news, it hadn't been long enough. To my pleasant surprise, IT WAS READY!!! I am still having some issues, but I'm sure they are fixable. I'll keep you posted!

Good to hear. I sent an email asking aboutit. That part is a actually pretty quick install. Some of your other issues are probably related to routine maintenence/cleaning you can do easily.
We are back and getting ready for more Halloween viewing leadin up to the big party on the 31st. Sounds like you have a lot of the good old classics.
Last night I watched Murder By Decree on CED, about Sherlock Holmes on the trail of a Jack the Ripper type killer. It sounds interesting so I won't give it away here.
Tonnight there was a broadcast of Mr Brooks on Tv so watched that instead of a disc. Bizarre story of a Mr Nice Guy & Good Citizen who is a serial killer. I felt it was just too strange to even come close to being realistic. Henry Portrait of a Serial Killer is ten times better and scarier, but not released on CED. it is on LD. |

A couple of nights ago we watched Gremlins, but should have saved it for Christmas.
Last night I tried to watch Sybil, the girl with 13 personalities, but fell asleep after 1 hour due to getting up at 4 am, not due to the movie. So I'll watch it tonight. |
