Where do these these morons come from? A wise man once told me, "You know, there aren't but 9 or 10 really dumb stupid people in the whole world.......Now they do tend to move around alot, so you are likely to bump into one or two of them." _________________ 1000 titles

I disagree, there are at least 9 or 10 million really dumb people in the world. And this putz is one of them.
Best thing to do is fill the comment section with as much disgust as we can over this dumb a$$ move.
This fellow is the kind of character who never had enough self-esteem or wisdom to actually create something, and thinks destruction of creative works is some sort of artistic statement or a comment on society, etc. Good thing the Mona Lisa wasn't available.
Also could have some sociopathic leanings and latent hostility towards society, just one step away from the abuse of small animals, and we know what those people end up doing eventually.
Buddy, get off your duff and see if you can actually create something worthwhile. And even if you can't, you shouldn't have any right to destroy the creations of those who can under the guise of property rights and sophomoric humor. |

Wow... truly epically stupid.
One would think that he would take the short amount of time required to actually learn about theproduct he was nuking prior to throwing a video up on youtube and looking like a fool. |

At least he didn't use some super-rare title for this.
This bothers me a lot more: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yaykLN6IHlk
This is another guy who regularly microwaves stuff and here he does it with a laserdisc- but it's a *DTS* laserdisc of Pulp Fiction, which is pretty hard to find! Plus anything with metal will damage a microwave oven on top of that. _________________ Videodisc and stereo sound- there's no better value around! |

Yep, pretty dumb.
But the Dr. Phil analysis of today's "sociopaths" is a bit much as well.
Every single person who watched America's Funniest Videos, then Jackass, and onwards to the bulk of YouTube encouraged stunts like this.
I wouldn't blame hostility towards society, I'd see it more as assimilation WITH society. We've been building up towards - and actively celebrating - inane nonsense like this for years.
There has been piles of it since the dawn of YouTube - we've just got our backs up because it's our pet format and the author didn't know anything about it before he cooked it, plain and simple. Cooking stuff (pencil graphite, CDs, grapes, etc) has been going on since the introduction of microwave ovens and people largely ignored it.
Which is what we should be doing with this clip - ignoring it. Every single comment - good or bad - is a small round of applause. |

Hey, that's not a Dr Phil analysis. I'll have you know that I never got a degree in Psychology nor even had a TV show about the same, nor did I ever have a gig as the tool of a mouthpiece.
The only thing I ever did was actually work in a Psychiatric facility, hands on, so I admit my lay characterization is non-empirical and anecdotal at best. It could be erroneous but could also be on the mark.
Even if I'd been using the term latent, I should have phrased it more exact and not stated hostility toward society in general, but rather a callous indifference. The hostility would be more accurately stated as being towards authority or maybe even mother, ha ha.
That's not Dr. Phil, but Freudian. |

| I don't think I questioned your authority to make such a statement or any of your prior experience that may contribute to it, rather that it seems a bit foolish to condemn and label one person (who made a goofball video of microwaving a disc - whoa, evil) as a "sociopath" over something so silly. It reeks of a kind of indignant pop psychology stance that is just a bit reactionary. |

Oh, come down off the high humorless horse, please.
Maybe it's hard to see what's funny and what's not for some, but don't label me as a reactionary when there's planty of that going around in all directions, including judgemental misjudgements.
Perhaps an over-reactionary... |

How long does it really take to open the case and pop a disc- 5 seconds? |
I stopped watching the video (and started laughing) when i realized the guy was not bright enough to open the caddy, he actually pulled the disc out without opening the case. _________________ The Reason A Dog Has So Many Friends, He Wags His Tail Instead Of His Tongue. |
