Right, and it was in widescreen format, and I picked up several copies when they were letting them go cheap.

I am a huge fan of John Carpenters work, I have most of his work, Christine, The Fog, Halloween 1, 2 & 3. The remake of The Thing & Escape from New York. I don't care much for the vampire movie he put out, but most every thing else. Another tidbit about Carpenter (born and raised in Bowling Green, KY), His collaborator in a lot of his work, Debra Hill, who worked with him in Assault at Precint 13 (I think it is 13) and all the afore mentioned movies, sady passed away in 2006 at the very young age of 54. She had cancer and worked with it almost to the end.

Am I on a roll or what? I just finished watching Fright Night and Villiage of the Damned, Popped in Psycho (not a very good copy of it unfortunately) Next will be Psycho II. I will never forget when I first bought Psycho II brand new, in the early 80s.

Watched last night: Robin and Marion with Sean Connery and Audrey Hepburn. I was expecting a pretty good movie considering its stars, but it turned out to be rather lack luster.

I have that one, but I haven't watched it yet. I am currently in a Horror movie mood, since October is around the corner, I have a lot more Horror movies than I even knew! So many movies! So little time! The last 2 movies I have watched:
THE THING from another world
JOHN CARPENTER'S THE THING

Being a huge John Carpenter fan, i'm thrilled that so many of my favorites are on CED. All except for his very first movie of all time, Halloween, (my favorite) But lately of his movies I have watched:
HALLOWEEN II
HALLWEEN III
THE FOG
CHRISTINE

I have yet to watch Escape From New York, which is kind of scary.

Last night the kids and I watched 'Village of the Damned' still a great flick. It's always strange seeing George Sanders playing anything but Simon Templer aka The Saint, love his style though Smile

I thought Roger Moore played the Saint? I love the Villiage of the Damned, I have watched it 3 times during the Halloween season. The last CED movies I have watched are as follows:

1. Scrooge
2. How the Grinch Stole Christmas
3. The Boston Strangler
4. The Doobie Brothers Live
5. Porkys
6. Porkys II The Next Day
7. Star Trek Space Seed
8. Star Trek The Menagerie

I just got home last night with a major load of CEDs and i'm in a CED sort of mood. I have tons of Dupes, if anyone has a disc you are on the lookout for, shoot me an email @ Beetlescott@msn.com

The Saint in Palm Springs (1941) Played by George Sanders / George Sanders (as The Saint)
The Saint Takes Over (1940) Played by George Sanders / George Sanders (as The Saint)
The Saint's Double Trouble (1940) Played by George Sanders (as Simon Templar aka The Saint)

The Saint in London (1939) Played by George Sanders / George Sanders (as The Saint)
The Saint Strikes Back (1939) Played by George Sanders / George Sanders (as The Saint)

He also was the Falcon:

Starring George Sanders as Gay Lawrence

The Gay Falcon (1941)
A Date with the Falcon (1941)
The Falcon Takes Over (1942) (based on Raymond Chandler's Farewell, My Lovely)

Featuring Sanders and Tom Conway as the Lawrence brothers

The Falcon's Brother (1942)

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
You know Roger Moore as the saint from the 70's tv show, I know Sanders from earlier- you should watch some of his other stuff, he was Bond before Bond 007 in his demeanor Wink

I can see easily George Sanders as the type of Bond that Roger Moore played, or the other way around I guess.

Just watched him in the CED of Village of the Damned.

If you want A Saint that is *different* how about Vincent Price http://www.otrcat.com/saint-vincent-price-p-1963.html yep, he did the old radio shows- totally blew my mind first time I heard him doing it as I was waiting for Sanders or Moore....

Watched Bonnie and Clyde. I had actually never seen the film before.

It was pretty grizzly for a 60's flick.

White Christmas (again) I'm upstairs out of my mancave while the new sheetrock is going up, so I'm getting to spend some quality time with my SJT300!

Beetlescott - is that three times for White Christmas? Good movie, but three times already? The sisters performance by Bing and Danny is pretty funny.

Brannigan with John Wayne. I haven't decided what I think of it yet. It wasn't terrible, but quite predictable. Kind of on a kick recently to watch CED films I haven't seen before. I also need to check the quality of the discs.

I just watched The Howling on my own and now a group of friends came over to watch Poltergeist . No one knew what a CED was until tonight so that's a small victory. hah I also picked up a great collection in NH today (CED-1 and 79 titles) so everyone came over to see what they were all about. Great times!

Zombie http://www.lddb.com/ced/02001//Zombie-%281979%29

Minimal T&A, there was a good scene when the gal gets pulled into the splinter... the rest of the movie was *ok*, not bad for a spaghetti horror though

Tonights test run:

Paul Simon -in Concert
Adam Ant - Prince Charming Revue
Magnum Force

Very pleased with all, total of 10 seconds worth of glitches between all of them. I did not pre-run any of them.
