Yeah, the old player on top of the discs. It's a sight that we will never forget and will be repeated enough times so we don't.
Would these same people put their cars on top of their garages? Or their stoves on top of their pots and pans? Or sleep with their beds on top of them?
For that matter, bringing it back to similar items, have you ever seen somebody put a VCR on top of their tapes, a DVD player on top of their DVDs, or even a record player or turntable on top of their album collection? Of course not, they would think that's just dumb. So why do they do this?
Who said that one could never underestimate the intelligence of the general public? Or words to that effect anyway. |

betcha because the movies are in a hardcase the thinking is nothing can happen to them. True to a certain extent, but really, c'mon think it through just a wee bit. _________________ Scott

| These were fragile 30 years ago....still are. Folks are used to CD's now.....do you really expect delicate handling? Most folks don't know much about these even after an internet search. CRAIG Greenbelt, MD |

Yeah, except we're talking about putting a 20+ lb player on top of discs which people who have them know are like record albums. Even if they're not the sharpest folks, a little bit of common sense should tell you BAD IDEA.
I doubt many people used to Cds/DVDs would set their components on top of a stack of them. |

I agree, even though people don't know what they have, it's still movies that have to be played to be enjoyed, most people who don't know what they are, call them laser discs. Almost every single disc, says on the cover, "video discs" It gives me shudders to see them piled high like that, then to see a player on top????!!!!! _________________ 1000 titles
