If the function belt is new and motor works and it loads and unloads the ced, but will not play, even with a known working stylus and stylus arm does move but display shows only -- is that cause one of the buttons is mashed completely down and stuck?
I kinda remember cedatum talkin about this and I even think beetle's 300 had this problem.
btw the only buttons that I can tell work are reject and power.

Anyone? Any ideas? Did your player do this beetle or was it stuck in pause when buttons were broke and stuck on?

Fury, were you ever able to get that SJT 200 to play? Meaning the one that displayed the double dashes no matter what you did.

If so, what was the problem?

I'll have to look back at the email but im pretty sure its something i have to replace and solder. I got busy tryin to figure out an easy non solder way to replace coil in arm stretchers of j/k models. I figured out a way to do that and it reduced the wobble in my 400 that had wobble in video haha gonna try a different turntable soon and adjust height or what not. I will get back to you on the double dash 200 though!

Regarding turntable, 1st check out these things:

Is the flat spacer/washer still located at bottom of turntable shaft between shaft and adjustment screw or did it fall out in transit and maybe got stuck to the magnet? I had this happen once and turntable wobbled until it was back in place.

Also, how is turntable where it attaches to the stem? Is it solid or loose? Are the tines that hold turntable in place on the stem sloppy or tight? One player I had was sloppy at this connection causing it to sometimes vibrate oddly and scuff occassionally. and I did some "tightening up" on the tines and solved it, then locked it in place with a dab of silicon (because you can remove silicon pretty easily if you want).
