Hi, I recently bought a Toshiba VP100 ced player. I have heard that you can buy a groved pulley and a new belt that will replace the old convex pulley. If you can help me find one for sale it would be great because I cant find anything.

I just bought one recently too! Case is a lil beat up, hope its only belts... Anyways there is a great guy who frequents these forums named cbetra2 and he will likely see this and help you out! Either way I will email him about your problem! The new belt and a grooved existing pulley work out very good!

Just in case you dont hear from him, it seems the parts are in stock again.

Here is the tutorial on how to fix

Search top left for all three of these parts.

S1086Y-PC-05 /Precision Grooved Pulley, 2.0" Outer Diameter w/ 0.25" Bore
A 7A30-250312 /Inch to Metric Bore Reducer, 0.25" Outer Diameter w/3mm Bore
A 6R11-04084 / Round 1/8" Endless Belt, 8.5" Inside Diameter


S1086Y-PC-05 =1 to 9 $17.40
A 7A30-250312 =1 to 9 $5.86
A 6R11-04084 =1 to 24 $4.51

That'll cost 27.77 to repair, but if you are patient and can wait for cebertra2 to come around here and pay him to groove your pulley you could save a good amount of money.
Chances are you will have to buy the belt from that website anyways.

I have the pully and belt you need. Just leave your email address and I will contact you. I will send you a pully and belt and in return you must send me your old pully so I can groove it for future replacements. Rixrex and blindfury420 can testify that my grooved pullys work fine.

Yes, they do work great. I just got a second one from him that I have yet to install because of a messy gooey old belt I have to clean up first.

But I did install the 1st belt and grooved pully, and what a great machine it is now. So quiet and nice looking too. If you do get a pully and belt from him, please be kind enough to send him some money to cover shipping as he really doesn't charge you anything for the belt and pully, except you send your old pully back.
