|
|
I do believe it to be an SJT-100. I used it many times and then it sat idle for about a month. Everything worked great. Then I put a movie in and there's no audio now. I never moved it, nor did I mess with the coax cable or anything at all between the time I last used it to the time that I did and then no audio. Can anyone relate to this situation and if so, what was the problem and solution?
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks,
Randy |

Welcome to CEDmagic... I'm not the best at working on thses players, but first I woiuld disconnect, and reconnect the hook ups. If you are using coaxal, make sure they are on tightly. If you are using a channel 3 or 4, try switching wthe channels, if you don't have any luck, then it is possible the sound pick up from the stylus may have gone caput. I'm sure otherw will chime in with better advice. Good luck!!!!! _________________ 1000 titles

Yes! by all means. CEDATUM <cedatum> His name is John , he is very reasonable too. I have sent at least 10 or 12 of them to him. Shoot him an email,he will give yu instructions. He is very honest, he wont do anything that doesnt need. You might wanna think about getting a spare for occasions like this. John sells them too. He has rebuilt some for me, and some just needed to be cleaned. GOOD LUCK _________________ 1000 titles

If you are seeing a clear picture it is unlikely to be related to the stylus. All the information comes through the needle and into the decoding circuitry via a single "pipeline". Once it reaches the circuitry the information is separated out into audio and video.
That said, it would definitely be a good idea to run this past John. My guess is you have a faulty signal path or integrated circuit somewhere in the mix here. |
