Hi,
I am currently watching an SGT250 on US ebay, however...
I live in the UK. I have a spare voltage stepdown converter but the system spec say that it needs 60hz power to run and the UK standard is 50hz.
Before I buy it I need to know that it will work.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance!! |

If you have an HDTV, it should help since most HDTVs are Mutlisystem (Capable of displaying in NTSC, PAL, and SECAM). If not, seek out an Standard Definition Multisystem TV. It'd be a lot cheaper than buying all sorts of converters.
You can also buy an EasyCAP USB capture device and watch them on your computer. Though there is a noticeable A/V lag in some cases. _________________

Wilson, please read the information on the following link. This provides info on converting PAL to play in the USA. There is info on the reverse. From what I read, you would be better off getting a J or K series player, rather than the SGT250 you are currently watching.

Good luck!

After reading I think I will wait to see if a J/K system turns up that can be shipped to me (so many people will not ship to UK).
In the meantime I am bidding on 2 Hitachi VIP201P models,
They should keep me entertained while I wait.
Thanks for the advice and the welcome! |
