We watched the first 30 minutes of it night before last and it was pretty good, (if you are a Beatles fan) They were just hanging out, John Paul, George, Ringo & Yoko. It was the last collaboration, (I think) all 4 Beatles ever had. I am the oldest living Monkees fan, Carolyn (spousal unit) is a Beatles fan, it gets really interesting at out home sometimes.Smile

CED is the answer I would say it is average shape, has a few small tears, nothing major or detracting.

Now let's see Empire Strikes Back is $200 so the Beatles *has to be* at least $350 Wink
If you are interested we can do a trade.

Hee hee. I have both of them. What I'm REALLY interested in is any of the three Star Trek films in cellophane.

I have "Let It Be" in both CED and Laserdisc format and I've found that the CED is actually a bit "cleaner". The Laserdisc is rather murky throughout while the CED maintains a lighter image.

I have never fooled with the laser discs before, The picture on my 52" plasma TV, it looks nice and clear on it as well. I saw on Ebay where a guy was trying to sell CEDs "untested" and he added, "AND Uh come on guys, who ever watches these discs anyway?" I have news for him I DO!!! K DO I DO:).

That sir is downright weird- you are not suppose to watch them, if you play them it spins a localized timewarp and you discover it is 1983 all over again- I beg you DON'T DO IT Smile

BTW- my son has been home sick for the last 2 days... and has watched several CED's all by himself. He can run the LaserDisc and CED machines... there's hope for the future of collecting Wink

My Father In Law had never heard of this format. When I explained it to, him, he was very impressed. I can't wait to show it to him. When my grand daughter comes for a visit, I'm going to introduce her to the fun world of RCA Select A Vision Video Disc Player!! By the time she gets ready to go home, she will be asking for one of these babies for her Birthday.

I know what you mean. My two grandaughters came to spend the night last weekend from out of town. They are 4 and 6 years old. They ask me if I had any kids movies they could watch so I pulled my CED of Family Entertainment Playhouse VOl. 2. It has four short movies on it and they loved it, especially Ransom of Red Chief and the Shoeshine Girl. What made it so special is our three daughters loved these same movies on CED when they were little.

When I picked up my 100 movies yesterday I found in the pile, a Complete Beatles. I''m always hoping when I can get my wife to watch a movie wit me, there won't be a bunch of skips. This one was nearly PERFECT! There were 2 or 3 okaces where is skipped, but not during any of the songs.

OH yeah, I forgot to mention this. I got this disc (Let it Be) for my wife for Christmas. She didn't like it at all, we only watched 35 or 40 minutes of side one. She loved The Complete Beatles, so I am going to sell this new Let it Be on Ebay, but I'm giving anyone who wants it a chance in here first. Any takers?
