|

I have recently come into possession of my parent's Hitachi VIP1000 player with CVW600 remote and a collection of about 80 titles (some 2-disk sets). As far as I know, the player was infrequently used, so the stylus should be in good shape. However, it needs at least two belts replaced. The loading belt appears to have turned to black goo, but the good news is that rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab removes it from the plastic pulleys. The arm drive belt is sagging between its pulleys and also needs to be replaced. The timing belt is intact and feels firm but still flexible, so probably is OK. I think the two belts which need replacing are relatively inexpensive, and they are easily accessible by removing the case top (4 screws) and raising the top circuit board (2 screws).
If anyone is interested in the player, the remote, and/or the disks, and can pick them up (shipping would be prohibitively expensive), please reply. I am in the Eugene, OR area. If you would like a list of disk titles, I can e-mail one to you.

HI, Any chance you'd be willing to pack up the player for shipment if I provided you with my Fedex acct number for shipping? I live in the Seattle area. By FedEx Ground it should be relatively reasonable. Drop me a not here or at my regular email if willing to pack for shipping. Thanks
