Hi,

I was wondering if American discs play on UK players? or are they region specific like dvd's?

I don't believe that US discs will work in a UK player.

I remember reading somewhere that the discs for UK players are PAL only. Also that UK discs spin at a different speed than US discs. I believe UK players spin at a bit of a slower rate, which actually provided more time (content) per disc than US discs and reduced the need to time compress certain movies.
