I have discovered that the male portion of the 8 pin connector which is attached to the clear strip on my button control panel has come unplugged from it's female counterpart on the RCA SJT 200. I am at a loss at determining how on earth I get that thing plugged back in. Seems like I need to be able to manually grab the plastic female end and plug it and the plastic housing around it back into the 8 pins on the control panel. I have to top off and the front is loose of course because of that, but I don't see how the female part of that connector could be pulled out far enough to enable me to plug it into the front panel. It may be attached by a long enough length of flexible wiring that I could pull out enough to reach, but I don't want to force anything that might cause problems or cause something to break. Any advice on how to go about reassembling this plug would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I practically had to disassemble the entire player to get enough slack to plug that control panel connection back in, but by removing the bottom as well as the top I was able to accomplish it. So, problem solved on my RCA. It is playing perfectly so far. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
