So, a couple of weeks ago I found some CEDS at this thrift store. I found them fascinating, so I grabbed a couple of them. I also found a RCA Selectivison SFT 100. So, anyway the problem I am having is that the color seems to change during the movie, and there is tons of grain. When the movie turns colors the whole screen will turn green and red, or colored bars will move down the screen. Sometimes it does other things, but this is the problem I encounter the most. I find that if I take the disc out and put it in again it will work right, but even when I do that it sometimes still messes up. It does this on and off, and most of the time I can fix it, but I wanted to know what's causing it. Any ideas?

Weird...usually color problems with the player look more like the tint varies from the left side of the screen to the right, but solid red & solid green with color stripes going down? To be honest, that sounds more like your TV does not like the CED signal. Is it an LCD TV from recent years? I've seen some newer TVs that, for whatever reason, do not like CED or laserdisc video. My mom's TV will produce a wavy picture with static flickering at a certain interval when using such machines with the TV, and my Samsung occasionally changes brightness suddenly, without warning, but when I use my players on older TVs, they work great. See if you can try the player on some friends' or relatives' TVs and see if it does the same thing or not.
