I've put up a video of the 1981 RCA SelectaVision VideoDiscs opening.
What sets my video apart is that, on the second run of the opening, the sound is the same edited excerpt of Promenade from Isao Tomita's interpretation of "Pictures at an Exhibition," except I took a digital stereo copy of the full song and edit it down to match the visuals (or as best as I could get it). |

Great, great job! Even on the middle quality computer speakers on my desk the new stereo is so much better. The old and the new together. Very interesting, well done. |

That's really a big difference. The stereo track is so much more full-bodied.
Whenever I play anything mono, I have to put it through my old-school radio shack stereo synthesiser. It's not true stereo of course, but gives the mono track more presence. |

I have that Tomita album on quadraphonic 8-track! I have a working Panasonic quad player too- my receiver doesn't have multichannel analog inputs, so I just got a device from Creative Labs that takes any 6-channel analog input and outputs it as a DTS optical signal. _________________ Videodisc and stereo sound- there's no better value around! |
