Has anyone else ever noticed that just about all of the CBS videodiscs have little dark stripes in certain parts of the picture? They look something like this:

----
----
It's most noticeable towards the upper right portion of the picture, but you can see another set in the upper middle-left portion as well. What is that? Was it something in the telecine maybe?
I haven't seen it in any RCA discs, except that some RCA discs have one single dark stripe in the middle left part of the picture.

I noticed this right when I started collecting, even on the awful made-in-Mexico Zenith TV I had then. I haven't looked closely enough to see if they're in the same place on different copies of the same title, or noticed what label or manufacturers have them but I'll have to keep track of that now. Some discs also have a dark spot in the picture in one scan line, roughly an inch on my 40-inch screen.

Not sure what the cause of these are, but still a lot less annoying than the intentional damage they've been doing to most TV broadcasts!
