Hi From The UK
Your lucky in the states it remains a strong hobby and you will come across players quite frequentley, of varous conditions possibly some even new!. Here at CED Magic is the best place for advice and some spare parts (Belts etc). Your biggest challenge will be to find a needle in good shape (If you didnt know the 'video' on a black 'vinyl' record is played with a needle). CED Datum do rebuild them (I sent two from the uk that were repaired ok).
If you are after quality stick with your DTS DVD and Blu Ray etc - however if you want retro kit that is a excellent conversation piece when friends come round have some fun with the CED player.

Regards
Brother in the UK

BROTHER;
THANKS FOR THE REPLY.
THE INFORMATION WAS VALUABLE TO ME.
WERE MANY OF THE PLAYERS MADE AND HOW LONG WERE THEY USED BEFORE THE OTHER FORMATS WERE INTRODUCED?
I'VE NEVER SEEN ONE IN MY TRAVELS.
ARE THEY EXPENSIVE?
IS THERE A MARKET FOR THE DISKS?
I'D BE WILLING TO SELL THEM IF I CAN'T FIND A PLAYER FOR THEM.
THANKS AGAIN.

Check out the CED magic CED player and disc information starting at CEDMAGIC.COM home page, adjunct site to this forum. Lots more stuff there that you can browse at your own convenience, and should answer almost all questions you have except maybe which CED player is best for you and how to get it.
