I told myself a while back, that I had no intentions of getting a SelecaVision deck, I had my laserdisc, Beta, and VHS and DVD. no need for a goofy CED player. Well apparently I was wrong.

my local flea market was having their last weekend before they shut their doors for good. And I was digging through someones stuff they wanted to get rid of fast. and found a RCA SJT 100 selectavision deck buried in there, $5 was the price, and I figured I really couldn't go wrong for that. I got a CED from another guy there just to test the deck with.

Got the deck home, turned it on. It made a awful whiring noise. took it apart. found a small broken belt, replaced it with a small rubber band, and the unit came to life. ended up getting a more correct belt for it. and low and behold it works flawless.

I never thought there would be a community dedicated to these things, I hope to learn a whole lot!
