Hi there! It's kinda strange for me to compose this message on this forum considering that I didn't even know that there was such a thing as a VideoDisc until last week (while doing some researching on the 'net about capacitances, BION) and I certainly know the first foray my family took into the home video arena was one of the earliest VHS VCRs, purchased in the same year I was born (1979). So imagine my deep surprise when I found out that my absolute favorite artist of all time, Duran Duran, released a CED! (Actually, being a huge fan of '80s music, I find it interesting so many other artists I love, from Kajagoogoo to ABC to the Thompson Twins, also released videos in VideoDisc format).

Anyway. I noticed you didn't have any information about the Duran Duran CED, aside from the fact that it was, well, duh, a Duran Duran CED. WELL, I consulted my copy of Tom McClintock's Duran Duran discography (which is really the mother of all DD discogs out there) and in his videography section he has the VideoDisc listed!! It's actually the VERY COOL "First 11 Videos" collection, which was released in March 1983 and encompasses all the videos the band made up until that point. This is significant because this means that rare videos, namely the ones for "Careless Memories", "Lonely In Your Nightmare", and "Night Boat", are on this compilation! I seriously doubt EMI will ever think of releasing this compilation in DVD format, though sometimes the VHS can be found on eBay. The only way I got to see all of those videos was through a fellow fan's generosity in recording a videotape which includes the videos included in "First 11 Videos" that aren't found in Decade or Greatest, which I *do* have.

Anyway, long story short -- the Duran Duran CED is the great First 11 Videos collection -- http://www.ionpool.net/duran/ should get you to the aforementioned discography once it's actually up again, but I *have* found it listed on Amazon (because of its presence in the Marketplace) -- just Google "duran duran" + "first 11 videos" and you should get a plethora of information on it.
