Ok, I just got a player for free. It plays at the right speed and all, but, it keeps playing the same scene over and over and the colors are not right, so, I think it is the stylus, but, what else could it be?

Here would be the best place to start. You don't mention which model, so this particular entry may not apply to you, but the good news is that Tom has more symptom and repair info on the main CEDMagic site than is probably healthy. Take a look around and if you don't see the solution to your problem, check through the forums a bit - not only may you find an answer, but there are repair specialists lurking as well... (I am not one of them, but I can answer some questions about the J series)
