hello ,,hello. in sept of 83 i bought an SGT-200 and got three titles free. since then i've bought six more titles with in a year of that date, i recently i was at a pawn shop here in phoenix and mention to the manager that i had a collection of ced's and a player i was wondering if he had any ,,,he stated that they had gotten 3 players and 65 tiles. and they were mine if i wanted them FREE. well now i want to sell them all. they are 27 common, 52 uncommon, and 5 rare . 16 of them are double disc sets. i have the owners manual for the SGT-200 . and there is a booklet titled " RCA VideoDisc Players for 1984 " the other three players are 2 SGT-101"S AND A SJT-300 with no remote ( i believe it came with one). there are too many titles to list here. i only want $300. for everything. sorry to say they can't be mailed. pick up only,, i guess. my cell # is 623-742-5010 . for directions or i can rattle off the titles if you need to know.

That's a pretty good deal for you, get them free and want only $300 for the lot. Probably a good sell on ebay, but possibly best not to say anything about them being gotten free.

Good thing it was a pawn shop and not a charitable organization thrift store. Nobody cares much about pawn shops.

You'd probably get more interest if you hadn't just told us you got the lot for nothing!

As it is I personally was thinking that you'd got a pretty good score until I read the $300 bit, at which point... yeah, well....

Personally, I think people who come into such things so fortuitously should be willing to be a little more generous, else it appears rather money-grabbing. Oh, and $300 is too much anyway. Smile At least it would be if you were in the UK, CED stuff is crazily cheap over here because no-one has a player!

Put them on eBay, split the lot, and see what happens. And don't tell anyone you got it for nothing. That's my advice!

well,, i'm not really making any money on the sale . i'm being truthful here the SGT-200 that i bought way back then and the other disc's i purchased the following years ,,.i believe . were well over the asking price. anyway my problem is that i've gotten into collecting other things like fossils and my soda bottles are just easier for me to work on and take care of. and any who,,,if i can't sell the players and disc's i will donate them to the salvation army. later peoples..

I agree with Ian. Best for you to sell them on ebay as split lots and say nothing about the freebies. I don't think anyone begrudges you making such a find, and anyone who did make such a find would be happy as well, but on a CED collectors site where folks are known for being generous to each other, it's not great to announce you decided to make a big profit. You aren't really profiting according to your last statement, but initially it just seemed a bit overboard. I hope you aren't offended by the replies.

Did you know that you can donate part of your ebay sales to a charity?
