On an SKT 400, I am getting occasional garbled video (a horizontal band right in the middle of the screen). I also get the occasional double take (same few frames playing 2 - 3 times. I dont get this problem on an SFT100 with the same disc. Could it be the needle? I'm sure it is quite possible, but that band right in the middle of the screen might be a symptom of something else?

I did have to adjust the height of the turntable (among many other fixes - this unit was in serious need of help), so that might be related.

Just got a new needle yesterday and swapped them .

It took care of the problem. I was a little surprised, I must say. What a fantastic sound and image quality!

I only had used the SFT100 with the RF signal and connected straight RF to a vintage tube tv (with faux wood finish matching the SFT100) which gave the best picture I've ever gotten out of that TV but overall, still not exactly home theater. The SKT400 on the home theater setup is just great!
